Memories of Love

Memories of Love

A Poem by Alexa Louise Mendoza
"

A poem about love, all the unforgettable happy memories of being with your special someone. But nothing is permanent.A love that's not at the right time. Will you still be able to fight for your love?

"

I smiled for the first time I saw your face

Realizing the reason behind it

But age separates us, older than you

Having no chance to bond with you

A unique feeling I felt with your presence

Having no idea of you noticing me

Until having a chance to meet you

Then suddenly, a chemistry sparks between us.

Excited to wake each day for the inspiration all day

Stomach aches for so many butterflies

A smile in my heart when I talk to you

Cherishing every second I had with you

But why did you have such a playful heart?

That all the memories just thrown away

Don't you know that I always feel so hard

And wondering why I was hurt this way

The key to open the lock in your heart

Is in your decision and not in mine

But now I know there is a better one

Who will someday come and deserve my love.

I love the first line of the last stanza- " The key to open the lock in your heart" .
Loved it, well done

Well put.
You display the emotions of such a situation very well.
