Addiction

Addiction

A Poem by Alicia
"

I wrote this when I was heavily addicted to self-injury.

"

You ask me to stop

I tell you no

it's my release

my savior

You ask me why not?

I tell you because

it's my body

my pain

You tell me to share my feelings

I tell you no

they're my burden

my soul

You ask me if I crave it

I tell you the truth

the blade calls to me

and I obey willingly

You say pick: me or the blade

I turn my back

I pick my savior

Over my friend

That's when I know I'm addicted

I like the style, poems don't necessarily need punctuations. It's good, I like it.

Sorry you went through that. One of my best friends is trying to stop. Very well written poem though.

I understand every word of your realization, many *Cough* have been in that state before.

Glad you realized your addiction, it would be a sad day to lose a great poet as yourself.

Kudos to you.
