Coffee Black

Coffee Black

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

that first sip

"

Coffee Black

i’m in the early chapter of morning

the haze on my eyes lifts

scattering into the sunlight.

you want to follow but

a darkness looms in a

morning cup of java.

you sip & swim

knowing full well

you will never find your way out.

as the last gulp arrives

you swallow an aloneness

that seems to be your brand

of morning.

Nicely done here loved this.

I like mine with cream not a
black coffee person if there is
sugar a little in the creamer I don't
add any if I do it is a small amount.

Thank you for stopping by my page
and you sweet comments you left and
for this nice piece.

God bless. Benita

swimming in memories, and not enough cream to make the coffee less dark...just like the alone feeling gotten from this poem.

i feel the aroma of this.
