We are not that important!

We are not that important!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When one considers Earth's place
in the whole universe as
a sand grain in a sand dune,
Man as lucky as he is,
places too much emphasis
on his self importance.

Are we that important
to be given an after life?

Man has exaggerated his importance
considering how insignificant
we  really are
in the whole scheme of things.

Maybe that's why man wrote a book
called the Bible, back then,
he had no knowledge of what was out there.

Especially, when there are Black-holes
that can swallow a whole galaxy
or a solar system like ours.

Begs the question?
Especially when man thought
the world was flat.

Such truths here, andrew.. Questions to ask and answr of self rather than other people, perhaps. You think of a grain of sand.. weightless, I think of a forest full of wind-blown Autumn leaves, moving wildly wherever the force of weather moves them. Others see what their imagination often muddled with knowledge shows the qyestions and answrds that the greats still theink they understand. A fascinating stream of words, sir.. truly. Thank you so much for tapping my lazy mind into working!
