Chaos theory!

Chaos theory!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It all started in
an orderly fashion.

Antrobus!
Here!
Anthony!
Here
Antheus!
Here!
And so on,
until someone broke the line!

Running round in circles,
sending signals blind,
zero communication,
Attack! Attack!
stress levels climb walls,
black landscapes move.
No one is falling in!

Who’s in control?
Not me!
Or me!
Where’s the CEO?
Don’t ask me!
Don’t look at me!
Who is? She is!
Order! Order!

Still going in circles,
Stragglers lost,
confusion rules,
no direction,
no control,
bodies pile up,
black wreckage,
a call for order,
where is the queen?
Traffic piles up in the carnage.
Wounded carried away!
Still the circle of madness
continues.

It was just another day
in the life of an ant,
the chaos theory.

chaos theory is a frightening thing for some but the "answer" to others anger, frustration and pain .. striking out and destroying with no direction nor alternative in mind .. just blind rage and violence .. love the contrast with ants .. who when watched scurrying from above look just like that; but in reality their lives a very much ordered and purposeful ... very relevant poem sir ... here in the USA the chaos in the streets comes from one screaming blue meany to another .. love on ya brother!

I love the ending. I love anything with a twist at the end. I've always been really fond of the short stories of O. Henry for that very reason. But this was great...the ants go marching down to the ground...
