Just Live

She said she’d always be there
She said that you were strong
She said that you’d get far in life
But now guess what. She’s gone
No matter where you look for her
No matter what you do
There’s a place that’s always filled with her
I know that this is true
We did all we could do
She lived a few more years
She did not get past Easter
She brought a lot of tears
She taught all she could teach
She said all she could say
But now she’s in the heavens
She watches me all day
She lived life to its fullest
She did all she could do
I just want one more day with her
I just want to say thank you
But cancer took its toll
I know the deed is done
It was a struggle for life or death
But the cancer won
Just remember what she told you
Do all that you can do
Because you only have one life to live
Then she said, “ I love you”

I'm sorry for who died with cancer...my grandpa got lung cancer but he didn't die, but he could have. it must have been really hard on you. But good poem, i really liked it!
