A Poem by Angel Doods

In the dead of night I leapt
And the eve's frozen head
Was lit up with flames
Blinding me with illusory hope

The roaring in the sky resonated
Like thunders at dusk
With the voice of wrath
Echoing the torment that I had

My vision blurred
As my heartache fades away
A coursing river then
Flooded my cheeks with warmth

My lips bent like the night's crescent moon
A sign of an eclipse's last seconds
The dagger on my chest pulled out
Numbness flashed in a second of lightning

In the dead of night's obscurity
My hands pulled out a flame
Its embers touched my skin
As they turned into ashes in oblivion
