just this present

just this present

A Poem by angelina neves
"

Albert's Poetry Caf challenge - using the following picture for inspirationwrite a poem with exactly 10 lines, using all 10 words: gone/ slip / withers/ morning/ crack / art / trap / consume/ flight/ tissue

"

My past left, is gone
A death crack and the yesterday smile isn’t mine
Although, trap inside it is some memories
To consume old places, people, a flight over past dreams
That withers me no more then a tissue picture
As I can’t be that one who had my name
Life is the art of the unfinished
Suddenly as each morning slip trough my fingers
I’m left with now, here, just this present to give you…

It's alright if that past slipped away, my friend, because I already know how that story ended. But the gift of the present "you" that you bring is a marvelous gift indeed. I just can't wait to see how THAT story goes. (smiling real big). I've missed ya, sweetie, and I think about my angel with the blue wings all the time. Luvs ya......Jeri
