Tasting Chocolate

Tasting Chocolate

A Poem by Annie N.
"

A poem I wrote on the spot, this is inspired from the memories of a 65 year old lady I met while waiting in line at a store.

"

I knew the taste of chocolate.

The taste of bittersweet almonds.

I could still taste the cocoa.

And the froth gliding on the tip of my tongue.

I can still remember the milky taste,

Faded away,

Like all of my memories.

I can still remember the first time I kissed you,

When I first knew the taste of chocolate.

Now this is charming. Utterly so.
The chocolate and the kiss...does it get any better than that...indeed, could it get any better than that.
Magic is the word I'd use here...pure magic.

this poem seems as a metaphor of life and love-
---and of coarse chocolate!!!:-)
"I can still remember the first time I kissed you,
When I first knew the taste of chocolate."
...Great Poetry---Love It!!!

.
A lament of youth, of love, of the past...you create the nostalgia in this piece...we all get there in the end.
