Bernie

Bernie

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Don't wait till your life is all done to learn the lessons of a fool Know the rewards of self are none where love of others is the rule

"

America's favorite son Bernie Sanders with family and friends

What is the value of a life

built on shattered dreams from others

And so it's thus, for each of us

who can't feel for our own brothers

These the thoughts of Bernie Sanders

who's cried for half a century

"Lift up your sons, put down your guns

empty your penitentiary”

"Pick up the sad, lonely and poor

help your friends in humility

Open your soul, make that your goal

put away your hostility”

His struggle from the depths of a heart

so relentless yet so profound

echo's in waves, patriot graves

where mothers tears cover the ground

A grateful nation now reports

the cry that began as a plea

That's shook our core, with something more

all the way to Antiquity

Bernie Sanders comforts a Muslim student

Tate Morgan
Never in our lives has such a man existed. With him go the hopes and prayers of a nation.

A wonderful man! Unfortunately, he had no chance, as you can see the mentality of this country is still in the dark ages. If we don't raise the standards of education "the wall" will fall and crush us!
Great writing, provokes emotion and awareness. Keep writing and spreading the word!

More I learn about this man. The more I like him. We need a man who see hope before fighting. Help before punishment. Thank you my friend for sharing your thoughts. I do appreciate them.

i love politics, i have a lot of writings about politics and social issues, and can write many more., but i have refrain myself from posting them...

I respect Bernie sanders a lot for his participation in the civil rights movements and for his other social justices that he stands for, but I can't vote for him... to be honest i won't vote for either any of the republican or democrat nominees.

I liked your poem :)

I enjoy reading how others view political candidates, but I prefer to not be involved in politics.

This poem shows your views in a respectful way.
