Ruth Stone goes to Heaven

Ruth Stone goes to Heaven

A Poem by John Jackson (El Juero)
"

Rest in Peace...

"
Over the distance of cyberspace,
you taught me, my new friend.
Closing your eyes in memory,
reciting evocative poetry,
I am thrilled, am carried away.
From the simplicity of a barnyard,
to the complexity of aging,
you always invited me to come along.
You let me see with mine own mind,
and feel with a virgin heart.
Strong Elder voice resonates within me,
and now you are in the Spirit World,
leaving me here to discover your gifts,
plentiful and ripe, like succulent fruit,
along a yellow brick road to OZ.
