Wasting Away

Wasting Away

A Poem by inhale

It stares at me,

its haunting eyes,

calling for more attention.

Blinking and breathing,

so subtly aching,

beneath the slighted frame.

A limb protrudes gracelessly,

catching awkward sighs.

Muttered words,

and now and then

a parting of fresh lies.

Mirrored mistakes

are all thats shown,

walking,

now runnning,

into the unknown.

For sake of saving,

I do regret,

remembering that last meal.

It comforts oddly,

endless debt,

to add a strange new feel,

But now I sit,

alone with guilt,

discussing the end of me.

The light in the tunnel,

has vanished with hope,

forever to dark to see.

I really like the language and it creates really stong imagery that illustrates what you're trying to portray brilliantly :)
A limb protrudes gracelessly,
catching awkward sighs.
Muttered words,
and now and then
a parting of fresh lies.
Genius.
