Lovely Pebble

A man walks a very lonely road

In search for treasure and gold

Fright arises as danger comes close

The road is haunted by ghouls and ghosts

In search for a place to hide

He sees a hole and jumps inside

A glowing pebble catches his eye

He holds it close as the ghosts come by

The pebble must be magic

Invisible when he has it

The road is not so lonely anymore

With this pebble he feels safe to the core

When the man was sad the pebble would brighten

Sadness disappeared and back was the fight in him

Continuing his journey with fervor and might

Until one dark and gloomy night

One more river then the end of the road

Glowing brightly he could see all the gold

Through the water he began to sprint

The pebble fell and sunk with a glint

The man was aware but didn’t think to stop

All he cared for was riches and being on top

He put the gold to his mouth and began kissing

But didn’t feel happy because something was missing

The pebble that gave him hope in his heart

Was sunken deep and forever apart
