The Invitation

The Invitation

A Poem by BLFK
"

I am offering you an invitation to watch from afar. . . Come on in. Come watch.

"
I see a beautiful face with a look of healing and hope bursting forth like crystals from deep within her heart

While I observe, I see a freedom in her steps, as she dances back and forth in the grassy meadow

Her passion is causing my heart to stir and beat fast

I hear His delicate voice calling and I see

Him smiling through her

I am wondering if the love that fills her can fill the very core of me

I am broken, tired and in need of a touch from heaven

I can hear Him saying “come in, come home to My outstretched arms, come in”

She is dancing as the sun is setting

I am coming to see that this is an invitation for a new beginning and that in this new beginning my chains

will lose their hold while I run to Him

“Come in, come home, come in,” He is calling over and over in a gentle whisper

She is dancing slowly, ever so beautifully and elegantly, with Him

Though He is invisible, I can see

She has accepted His invitation to be whole and it’s His love that is making her glow like all the stars in

The sky combined

He is calling, calling, calling

Another person has come to the meadow-one who is broken as I was

It is a girl

She is watching me

I begin to run and I realize that my surrender will look like dancing

I will resemble the face that I saw when I first entered the meadow-- healing and hope will burst forth

like crystals from deep within my heart

The girl will observe as I experience freedom in my steps, and she will observe as I dance back and forth in

the grassy meadow

My passion for Him will cause her heart to stir and beat fast, and she will begin to hear His delicate voice

calling

This is His invitation to you.

He is saying:

Come in! Come home to My outstretched arms! Come in!
