The Girl With Anxiety

The Girl With Anxiety

A Poem by Bre

I am just the girl with anxiety.

You knew me as the one who always laughed.
The one who always smiled.
But you never knew the real me,
the one who was afraid.
You always knew the fake me,
the one who has courage every day.
I am just the girl with a broken smile,
the girl who hides behind the laugh.

I know I changed from the girl who's awesome.
I know I'm different from the girl who was smart.
But now I am different,
way different you see.
Different from the girl who was smiling all day,
and laughing all night.
But that's okay,
and I am alright.
Cause I am me,
the girl who has Anxiety.
