Remember the girl

Who walked through the hallways 

With her head down?

Her hands shook at her sides

As she floated with the tide

Barely making it above the surface

A plain face

And gloves of black lace

Painted a forgettable picture

And everyone forgot

Without even one thought

For the girl who faded into the grey
