Her Demond, Her Problem

Her Demond, Her Problem

A Poem by BurgerBopBoop
"

This was meant to be lyrics to a song but I polished it to be a poem.

"
She looked so angry when she walked in the door
She says she's jonesing and looking to score

I said no and she fell to her knees
She begged me, please baby please

She swore to me it's the last time she'll ask
I didn't believe her and saw through her mask

I asked her if this will ever end
She said when she has no more money to spend

I kicked her out and told her good-bye
She looked up with a tear in her eye

If I leave I will never come back
I told her it's me or the stupid dumb crack

She made her choice and never returned
That was when this lesson I learned

A fight with demons can only be won
By the person who has come undone

I can see how the lines could be conceived as lyrics to a song. I have friends that are addicted to pot and coke. Have been for decades. They aren't to the point of desperation but show the traits of it. You did this really well.

Very cool poem. Sad and true but good. We each have our demons that only we can fight, if we choose to.
