Lost

Lost

A Poem by C.J.G.

It's a pain I never want to have,
but never want to leave.
It's an ache I yearn for its departure,
but welcome everyday.
It's a darkness that I'll always turn on a light for.
It's an eternal distress that no smile will ever fix,
but I'll smile for you anyway,

The moon is my sun and it's cold is my warmth.
I'll drink the last drop and lick the cup until it's enough.
But it's never enough, and I never want you to go.
I'll run forever becuase I love for the chase.

Can't you see my tears in the rain?
For each drop is closer to infinity.
And I'll always drink the last drop.

Where do I come from and where do I go?
I'm forever lost on this one way street.
