Dreams were meant for crying

Dreams were meant for crying

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

Dreams are such beautiful worlds- it is the only place we humans are ever free.

"

Subconsciousness invades me

There is nothing I can see

But the pain;

My face is filled with the rain

Of this pain.

I've kept it too long inside my heart

Now it is tearing me apart

I have not wanted to show my tears

Even to people I've known for years

Only in my dreams I show

All the pain and all the sorrow;

Since dreams were meant for crying.

Yes, they were meant for hiding.

the title pulled me in...
and your execution does not leave one wanting.
i admired your spin on the use of dreams...
not a place to live out fantasies but a place to release yourself from the shackles of reality.
great idea and poem!

Love the depth of your beautiful bittersweet message, that we can often only be true in our dreams... So wonderfully written!

About
There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
