Long Winter

Long Winter

A Poem by Not Afraid of Bruises

prove to me that

you aren't worth everything I have

because now,

when the lines start to slip,

it's time to prune time to trim

back all the lies we

told each other...

and I'm not sure how to begin

where to start over again, with you.

once things were simple, but that was

before and now we

only live in the memory of tissue, the

gentle touch I know I just felt...

it's time to trim and prune

and trust that spirng will bring back these colors,

these scents next season.

prove to me that waiting is worth it,

for you.

i like the anticipation!
the idea of waiting for the one you love.... and it being worth is so true!
i dont know why i feel for you!
