Was It Worth It?

Was It Worth It?

A Poem by ★ Aeryn Harmonica Truckfinn ★

You had so much going for you.

You had everything right in your hand.

And you threw it away.

For what?

For one minute of pleasure?

For one night of fun?

Did you really think it would last?

Was it worth it?

You'd better hope so.

Becasue now you are stuck with this.

This mistake is going to last you forever.

There's no going back now.

You brought this reputation on yourself.

And nobody's going to give you a break.

You have to pay those fines.

You have to serve that time.

Remember those opportunities you had?

Well, now you can forget 'em.

Because nobody is looking for someone like that.

I don't even know what to say to you now.

I can't even look at you the same way.

Did you even think about the consequences?

Who you would hurt?

Let me answer for you.

No.

You thought you were invincible.

You thought you were stronger than that.

Well, let me ask you.

How strong are you now?

Very emotional! I'm sorry you had to go through this, and I'm more than willing to kick this guys butt for you :) The use of repetitious questions really made an impact on the work as a whole- especially the last line!

The repetition does a good job at portraying the irritated and fed up tone.
