Strangers, again

Strangers, again

A Poem by ancoraimparo

i knew you once

pink

like rose gold

or starbursts.

water balloons

and victory speeches,

laughs that’d melt

to sunsets on beaches

and silent smirky love

and i knew you blue, too

like rain

or quicksand.

engaging in arguments

for the sake of attention

the drive to nowhere

amidst silent contention

and feeling alone in the world.

but we're strangers, again

and i don't know you now
