Being Scared of Love

I can feel it

It's like the sun on a hot summer's day

Or the cold breeze in the middle of winter

It cannot be ignored

At every step I take it haunts me

Like a predator following its prey

I try to push it away

But it comes back

And when it comes back it is stronger

Even more prevalent than before

I must stop trying to run

Face the facts

And begin to live my life without constant fear

I am falling in love

And though I know I should not be afraid

Love is the most powerful thing in the world

And that is what scares me

Something inside of me is holding me back

But when I figure it out

I will move on with God's help

Become stronger

And love this man the way he deserves

I thought you did a good job on this. For some reason it seems to me line 4 should be line 2 but just sayin. Love can hold both freedom and responsibility at the same time. To release the fear can be a challenge but it can be done. Nice writing.
