Skye, My Dear Cat

Skye, My Dear Cat

A Poem by Chelsea
"

For my cat :)

"

Skye, My Dear Cat

Grey and white, you’re coloured

Like the white and grey clouds, that’s why you’re named Skye

You walk about the house with a mission

To make us all smile and laugh

When I feel down, you sit with me

Purring away, like it’s going to be okay

I stroke your soft silky fur

You rule the house

Claiming the tops of refrigerators

And my blu-ray players

Your perch upon them, as if you were a king

But one day

Your happy vibe gets weak

As your body is sick

You’re breathing hard, you no longer purr

Your struggle to make it from day to day

I’m sad to see the poor sight of you

Alas final breath you take,

A bead like tear streaks my face

I’m sad to see you go

But happy that you no longer suffer

I miss you Skye

I'm so, so sorry about the loss of your Kitty, Skye. It is such a heartbreak like no other to loose that wonderful, unconditional love of a pet.

What a sweet ode to your beautiful friend.

I'm sorry for the lost of your cat. My cat Garfield died three months ago. We need our animals to make us feel happy and needed. A very nice story about your cat Skye. Cats are cool. They give love and want little in return.

Sorry to hear your cat died. It is never easy to let go of our pet friends. My cat 'Dusty' was a huge, tough farm cat. he would scrap with anything and loved play fights with me. I still miss him even after twentyfive years! Still he died in his sleep at a ripe old age having passed on his skills to 'Micky' a young wildcat we adopted as a kitten when her mother got killed by a car outside our cottage. I used to love watching them hunt rabbits together in the fields. Thanks for sparking the memories.

Oh I am so sorry. I lost my little Piglet chihuahua a few weeks ago. My heart goes out to you. From your tribute for him, I could tell you loved him a lot. There's been a huge absence in my life since my little pal died. Just remember the happy times. I'm sure he's in a good place now.
