controlled by the things they make.

A control so potent, 

they don't even know 

that the power has shifted.

Watch and listen, 

listen and watch

 --no retention.

Taking the word of commercial items

 we follow like sheep.

Doing and saying what is expected.

Those who escape 

don't want to find their way back to the herd.

We look for answers in all the wrong places.

Waiting for the day it will all come together.

Do we wait in vain? 

YES!

There is only one way to go -

A downward spiral 

to a place they said

never existed.

A place 

where our money is spent

on needless things

to provide for the fat cat

sitting in his brand new leather chair

on the top floor of his company

that his father gave him.
