Robin Hood's Prayer

Robin Hood's Prayer

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem bout Robin Hood

"

Robin Hood’s Prayer

Rise and rise again until lions become lambs.

May persistence be your mainstay.

May peace rule throughout your land,

As long as you place your hearts and

your prayers  in the Lord’s hand.

Fate has smiled at us at last,

I for one will not turn my back on her.

Peace be with you is the prominent message here and a lovely one at that. This is possibly a call for your own peace of mind in tumultuous situations and a reminder that to ones self that fate will treat us well if we only head her message. Again a short and sweet write with a message of sanity for all.

Robin of the "Hood" was awesome.
Well, depending on the version watched.
I don't like the Russel Crowe version.
I actually found it boring to me and I fell asleep.
Go Figure.

Having spent time in Sherwood Forest and having the middle name of 'Lincoln' - as in Lincoln Green, the colour worn by the outlaws, I feel an affinity with this poem.
Robin robbed the rich to help the poor. Naughty but nice - Bravo. Robin.
