Me

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about me.

ME

I love kissing in the rain,

Riding a train with the windows down and in my night gown.

I love painting the town dressed

to kill with my handsome knight,

Slow dancing at midnight to a slow blues song.

I love wearing a thong under my sarong,

Riding in fast cars and pretending that I live on Mars.

I love my feeding koi fish in a trickling Japanese pond,

Watching spotted fawn much on dewy grass in a meadow.

I love kissing men on the cheek and acting like I’m meek,

Celebrating the end of the week on Fridays!

Most of all I love being me!
