The King

The King

A Poem by Dan Simpson
"

How far can the King see from the top of his castle?

"
Saturated fallacy, separated ideology.
The king stairs intent, his kingdom frowns mediocrity.
The wise man has remembered how to think, seas of infinite, clouds of intrigue.
Dual philosophies and the risen hand of Socrates.
The Blind man has remembered how to see.
Curtains of dark, blinding Light.
Listen said the deaf man, for he could not hear lies.
Music of the snake, flutes of persuasion.

The king and his castle, and the rule.
