Dolphins

Dolphins

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

DOLPHIN

Dolphins

Blue and silver colors of splendor
This graceful animal lives in the water

Special bonds with special people
This quiet animal not very feeble

She reaches out to touch its nose
It swims up closer lets her do so

Just as quickly it swims away
To be with the others its own family

It jumps up high its body outlined
By the bright and beautiful evening moonlight

Just as it touches the water
It disappears and makes her wonder…

Will she see this creature ever again?

This beautiful thing of God’s Creation

She looks to the water and sees a sign
A little fin in the dimming sunlight

This beautiful animal
Sometimes quiet but never alone

Is a beautiful Bottle Nosed Dolphin
