A Fool For This World

A Fool For This World

A Poem by Donald Cole

My world dark around me

You've shown Your light again

A faith I pray will carry me

On You I can depend

I'd challenge me to look ahead

To see whats here for me

Though I try to be not of this world

Corrupt my eyes may be

I'd given me some peace I know

The fool that walks the land

To think I'd even done a little

If I could ever understand

Why am I to question You

So lost that I would be

For I am but a fool for this world

Until I walk with thee

Take me in Your loving arms

Carry my pain away

Be the sunshine in my heart

Help me make it through today
