early in the dawn

early in the dawn

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Early in the dawn

A Poem by debileah

how well i remember

how well i recall

the day

we said

our wedding vows

with a courthouse preacher

out on the lawn

it was early in the dawn

just a year later

our daughter came along

now the years have passed by

and you have passed on

we miss you the most

early in the dawn

how well i remember

the years we had together

throughout good times and bad

today i try so hard not to be sad

when i visit your grave

on that beautiful lawn

so early in the dawn

A nice little poem.

I don`t think it is quite up to your
usual high standards, but this is entirely
different from any of your writing that I
have seen. My reservation may be due to
unfamiliarity with the style and metre.
