This darker side

One never knows how one feels until they write it down.

        I can't explain why I have to feel this way

                So undecided and frail today

            Frayed inside, as I come to realize

              I'm treading on this darker side

  So below what I ever imagined, A pathway of dust

                   My regrets and this pain

        A torturing time of reflection and loathing

           Nostalgia was always my drug of choice

                  There are reasons why I see

                       These discrepencies

                         In this false reality

              Broken ties and ways that I despise

                What put me on this darker side

                                      Intoxication just lends me a reason to feel this emotion

                               This disease

                        Of broken possibilities

         Budding hope just beyond the next horizon

         Still treading though, within this darker side
