you're a breath of fresh air
in this cruel and callous world
you're a cup of coffee
when i'm feeling cold

you're the real thing
in a museum full of forgeries
you're a deep sleep
when i'm troubled by bad dreams

you can have my shoulder
if that's what you need
or just a smile
and some time with me

you're a sunrise
in the middle of the night
you're a soft breeze
when i am flying kites

you're a taxi
when my stupid car won't run
you're a vacation
when i've forgotten how to have fun

so just close your eyes
let it all just fade away
we are here together
the rest of life is fake

i will hold to you
cause you make me feel
like i can face anything

cause the truth of the matter

there's no avoiding it
you look better today
than the time when we first met

and i can handle the grey hairs
if you'll turn grey with me too
so let's just laugh at wrinkles
and live like we're still in school
