four

four

A Poem by Yanina McKnight

There are always ears and eyes for those who are most disturbed;
lips and hands for those who are least adored.

silent cries fill loud and empty hearts

from brim to brim the obsessions begin

hidden away behind the warmth of a door

time for repeats . . . 1, 2, 3, four?
here we go
oh. not today

I really like this piece. It's short and to the point, but captures something much larger than itself. Even the line placement adds to the ambiance perfectly; creating a sort of, stop-and-go, falling-forward notion. Well done.
(P.S. I think you mean the first word to be 'There', not 'Their' ^_^.)
