"A Strange feeling"

"A Strange feeling"

A Poem by Edy Sparrow

Such a strange thing.

If you know me like I know you,

You should know everything,

That I cannot do.

Even if I want to grab your hand,

Even if it doesn’t let me sleep at night,

Please, do not feel any offend.

I keep losing every fight.

You’re more than friend to me,

And when I wake up every day,

I face the world where I don’t want to be,

Alone, on the way, that’s the price I have to pay.

Because I feel more than you can see,

Under the blanket full of tears,

But there is no your love to me,

After all those pints of beer.

Look around, listen to a sound,

Now is the time you can open your eyes,

Because soon we will break the bond,

And you don’t know how much my soul cries.

The rhyme is composed not in a usual style for me. It rhymes every second line and because of that you interpret it in many different ways. Have fun !
