I Wonder

I Wonder

A Poem by EMP

I've always wondered what was out there,

In the world so big and round.

But i realise it's not as lovely,

Or as great as it sounds.

I've always wondered what it's like,

To be trapped behind bars.

Being tortured for something so unfair,

And to be left with so many scars.

I've always wondered what it's like,

To live out on the street.

With no clothes, no food, no money,

And no shoes on your feet.

I've always wondered what it's like,

To be told you're stupid and wrong.

To be bullied and hurt and pushed around,

And it's hard to stay so strong.

I've always wondered what it's like,

To live in a place that's so distraught.

Where violence is a law, and hatred is a must,

And the people are still at war.

I've always wondered what it's like,

To be one of those so poor.

I hope one day they'll be happy again,

And they'll all have something more.
