a simple conundrum

a simple conundrum

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a simple conundrum

half-trying

half-lying

half-hearted

now parted

found me again within

found me again without

you.

The end of a relationship is sometimes unremarkable, and without the other, we find ourselves

That's a true conundrum and a half, j... needs serious consideration, perhaps taking apart and looking within. Strange how it is that each of us actually has an inbuilt heart, YET too often need share someone else's to feel whole. Then, bang wallop, things go wrong, bad times, sad times and it begins all over again or worse: you end up feeling alone in a relationship. J.you really do nudge the reader into thinking! Concise language, maybe but a puzzle indeed.

Perfect portrayal of how the heart dies when divided or unmended, and the legacy of being alone.

Ambivalence, as so perfectly portrayed by your brief wordplay, was always the curse upon my chances to ever be in a longterm relationship! *sigh!* This downfall you describe looks so familiar! *sigh!* Fondly, Margie

And then theirs becomes hers, and when the lawyers get involved the " it " starts to get very expensive.
Good evening Jacob, hope you are well

Takes time and patience to learn to adjust to being just "you" again, after being in a relationship where it was "us". Not easy, and many will relate to this universal theme Jacob. Short poem, much to ponder on.

There are problems that are so looped that evade simple solutions and we keep tripping on ourselves. I let them be hoping they go away or just solve themselves. Appreciated very much!
