Hostile Takeover

Hostile Takeover

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Hostile Takeover

a heart's composure is fragile indifference

bleeding one nightmare into another,

she is a conglomerate of insensitive states of mind

i am a small business being

devoured by the new company she no longer keeps

and subject to downsizing of capacity

to feel.

I think these are two-fold...disheartening but also awakening...we must pay attention.

thank you for your comment, Crippled Queen.

Oh, when the dreadful corporate metaphor becomes reality, sometimes all we can hope for is " You're fired", because that's all that's left.Nicely written, Jacob.

We are currently observing a discombobulation and it is not a pleasant situation!
