Love Doctor

Love Doctor

A Poem by Ethan Talby
"

A tale about being love sick.

"

I went to the Love Doctor and I told him I was depressed

The Love Doctor replied, "You have some emotions that are repressed."

Then I told the Love Doctor, oh boy I confessed

I confessed, "Love Doctor! I have a crush on a woman!"

The Love Doctor wanted a pulse, so I gave him my hand

Then I stared at the Love Doctor and he said, "I don't understand."

The Love Doctor is a man, a man indeed

Find an article about his creed and just read

If you need to succeed, he'll bring you up to speed

I yelled at the Love Doctor, "I've never felt this way before!"

The Love Doctor gave me some drugs and said, "This will make your mind soar."

Then I corrected the Love Doctor and said, "It only made me roar."

I asked the Love Doctor, "Should I stay as a friend?"

The Love Doctor asked me, "Do you want it to end?"

Then I cycled the question to the Love Doctor again and again

The Love Doctor is a man, a man indeed

Find an article about his creed and just read

If you need to succeed, he'll bring you up to speed

I spoke to the Love Doctor and said, "I am a fool."

The Love Doctor thought was she that cruel?

Then I said to the Love Doctor, "She's only in high school."

I hurried to the Love Doctor and I told him I have a hole I need to fill

The Love Doctor looked and said, "You are just ill."

Then I left the Love Doctor with my prescription for one pill

The Love Doctor is a man, a man indeed

Find an article about his creed and just read

If you need to succeed, he'll bring you up to speed
