FORGIVNESS IS BITTERSWEET

A mistake that cost a lot but an important lesson was learned...hurting a person for that persons good, Indeed is a very tiring process...

Look deep into my heart

Feel the blood pump through me

Tell me if I did anything that was wrong

If I did, I give you permission to turn around

Without clinging to the past walk far away.......

When the sun rises again

On a beautiful new day

And you feel sad and alone

Know that I am always here

Just like before you walked away........

As the days pass by

And memories began to blur 

As the pain fades

Forgive me and say " HELLO"

Like everything that happened was yesterday.....

I know to you its a past forgotten

Bear with me because I know am rotten

I know I made your heart cry

Even then i had dared to wish you goodbye......

Let the tide of emotions flow through you

Let goodness and forgiveness seize your heart

May you act again like a chivalrous man 

Act like nothing can ever be wrong 

And that we are back together from today

Come back to me like we were never away.......

In your heart I hope you find the sweet way

To exonerate me and forget the bad 

I am ready to bear it all trust me when i say

I am waiting for you to have it your way........

Therefore, I wish your decisions would sway

I hope and pray the bittersweet tingle,

Will unite us again, before sun light peeps in

Announcing the rise of bright new day.......

In the bottom of my heart, you shall  forever reside

I know I gave a huge blow and you are right to be mad

We had an amazing chemistry and wonderful vibe

I guess I will just have to let go, even though I know

That you loved me even if you had to leave me and go.....

This is so deep and beautiful, the feeling of HAVE to let go someone you love because you have to, and not because you want to is really painful. And yes you can never get that person out of your heart even if you want to sometimes. True love and feelings never disappear completely and you still feeling like you are ready to be there for that person whenever they need you. I enjoyed this poem very much.

The feeling I felt at the beginning was reassurance, but the figurative language really appealed to my artsy side, and by the end, I felt like the speaker was longing for an old lover back. Great work!
