Alky

Alky

A Poem by James Paulin

screw this crap, shove it, I couldn’t care less

martini, manhattan, scotch on the rocks

I’ve had it, who needs it? It’s your damn mess

tequila or two six packs to hand cuff locks

barfly foggy binges, DUI arrests

brandy, vodka, moon shine, whiskey shot

blackouts, drunk tanks, jail time, drug tests

addiction, cirrhosis, a graveyard plot
