The chill that fills the room

Lets lose from out my frozen heart

I stare at you from 

where i stand

a distanced way apart

You smile and I know

it's never me whose on your mind

My heart weighs down my ladened feet

my fingers intertwined

My only thoughts wander to the fact

She's next to me

and how she is the word, and being

Splitting our "to be"

Every lovely story as a child I was ever told

Prepared my softened heart

to feel this detached and cold

 

please leave what you have stolen

there upon my front porch step

so i can burn whats left of myself out

in your name

You kept me up, awake at night

not really there, just out of sight

Flying through my head

and leaving traces on my skin

I loved with depths of oceans

Swimming miles to show my devotion

Yet she was there the whole time

Scheming, waiting for her turn

I've forgotten who i am

for my only thoughts are you

my wrists have dirtied and

I've never,ever felt so blue

I give up is all i say

 whenever i do sleep

never dreaming , only falling

in emotions dark,and deep

So i'll leave you permanently

I don't need emotions, only love

and I'll forgo this wish of mine

better left undreamed of
