This Pen

This Pen

A Poem by garrshaw

This pen has a universe trapped within it

there are suns and moons, planets filled with life,

and barren rocks floating in space.

It wants to write to the music of the spheres,

but the author is a buffoon.

oh i love this....love the concept....the personification of the pen that can't see eye to eye with the author...and the brevity makes this say so much in few words...our poetic circumstance can certainly be a flood, or barren rocks...one just as well as the other.

I haven't been here in over a year. Thanks for the invite, Ed.
This is wonderful. The figuratives are so brilliant and memorable. This is a classic example of short and awesome. And I don't think you're a buffoon at all :D

You are welcome. ......:)......
That's the way for many of us. We can never write to the heights we feel. Though Jacob does a pretty good job.

Yes he does. I have found a number of very fine poets on here that blow-me-away!
~ I can see the novice writer penning his note and sending it into the ethos where no answers can be found or returned. The complex melodies of writing, understanding and life may be too far over his head. ....Just a dull interpretation. ~
