In a Bottle

In a Bottle

A Poem by geraldrice76

There was lightning in my head,
—and in a second there were the
Thundering thoughts of you,
Memories crawled down
from the sky in a pitter-pat,
And there I stood, on tippy-toed edges
Lunging you into me as you lapped
Across my lip, contouring to my inside
A chilly hug beneath my ribs, whistling around
Until I—undoffed cap—found a name
To call you.
