Dreamer

Dreamer

A Poem by Ghiasquared

The dreamer finds no solace in remembered past,
Only the myriad of roads passed upon the journey,
Each one not chosen for vague reason of mind,
Dreaming of journeys that could have been,
When passing life's forks of choice,
And pausing to reflect upon decision,
Choices are made for oneself,
As the flow of life pushes forward,
Lost in this mind of swirling dreams,
Forgotten friends from long ago,
Surfacing for a reminder of paths untaken,
Never to be passed again...

This is really good. It describes me pretty well actually. My husband always catches me daydreaming about things that could be or could have been or might have been or will be. It's endless. You just have to know when to quit dreaming and live. But you captured the dreamer's plight very well. Good poem.
