Some Say

Some Say

A Poem by KristiLee

Some say I'm like the color yellow,

All sunny cheerful and bright.

But when I see wrongdoings,

I'm like a lion ready to fight.

Some say I'm like a closed book,

and no one knows whats on the  inside.

But others say I'm more like an open book,

and I've got nothing to hide.

Some say I'm like an ice cream sundae,

Different qualities in one sweet cup.

Some say I'm just like a fish,

Continuously moving, not caring where I end up.

Some say I'm like a sunflower,

Showing my talents to the world.

And other times I'm like a midnight rose,

Not yet uncurled.

Some say I'm like a bicycle,

not following a set road.

some say I'm like a camel,

Carrying my responsibilities as my load.

Some say I'm like a lot of things,

Depending on the day.

But I know I'm always me,

No matter what some say.
