Me

Me

A Poem by Joey Johnson

Joining into this world
Of pain and beauty
Entering with hope and dreams
Yet growing and learning
What was the point
If I was to have a hard life of pain
Let me end my life
Let me live my life
I will do it my way
Anxiety building up
Meeting my love so pure
Joining the world anew
Of love I know
How you may ask
Not doubting myself
So this is how
Of this I am sure
Now my life is complete

This is one of the best long verse acrostics that I have seen on the Cafe. None of the lines are left bare, there is meat on the bones, so to speak. There is even a constant rythm, which is a bonus.

Thank you for sending me a read request for this poem.

Well done.
