IT'S NOT ME,,,,IT'S WE WHO WRITE!!!

My words are ready to embellish a blank page,

& the blank page is excited

To get re-formed for a new age.

 

When my thoughts flew me at another place,

I observed something

& started writing of my own ways.

 

My words are shouting as my handwriting is poor,

But the thoughts are clear

As my emotion is pure.

 

I see my words floating on paper

When I cry,

& I see them emoting when I joyfully fly.

 

I see my words dancing in my head

When it’s romantic out,

I see them standing straight for the nations proud.

 

I see my words fighting when something is wrong,

I feel they’re still trying

& becoming more strong.

 

Somewhere I feel to give up but my words don’t,

& sometimes I even bow down

But my words won’t.

 

My writing makes my life look more magnificent,

I don’t need much in life my words are sufficient !!

This is an awesome poem! I love the personification of words throughout, especially the image of them "fighting" for what is right in the sixth stanza. The lines "But the thoughts are clear / As my emotion is pure" are also very cool. This is an excellent expression of the power that words can wield, and how we who possess that power can use it to shape our world. Nicely done!

First, I love that your perspective is original & fresh, especially the first stanza. It really grabs the attention, becuz you've expressed this feeling we writers can get, in such a fun way. Actually, I'm afraid some are not so excited to sit in front of a blank page! You've shown how we writers can have a complete relationship with words! So unusual, but true. The kind of poem that makes you say: "YEAH! That's how it is!" Good job!

Really true and shouldn't I agree with these beautiful thoughts? This poem is very relevant in today's India when writer's are banned from speaking up or expressing their mind. Writers have to sit with pen in one hand and scissors in the other(to cut off the mistakes). But Indians have become so narrow-minded that the pen and scissors start fighting!
