Paranoia

Paranoia

A Poem by New Dawn

They know who you are
however strongly you might believe
that you hide your allegiance
behind a mask of indifference.
They know who you are
and they will come for you,
when the day seems serene
and the silence friendly
they will come
and your mask will fall,
shatter at the feet of your pretence
they will come....
Best prepare!

Wow! This just leaps off the page. I love that you do not say "who" and thereby leave the who, what, and obviously when, up to interpretation. Fits so well into soooo many scenarios. Great work, as usual.

. what a powerful piece ... you seem to know human psychology incredibly well ... this is like looking at "paranoia" under a microscope ...
