message to a sixteen year old self

message to a sixteen year old self

A Poem by New Dawn

Looking at the grainy image
of my sixteen year old self
How I wish I could reach out
to that troubled soul
and whisper gently in her ear
'life is not meant to be so serious
or so constrained
for all your worries and cares
never forget to
live a little,
love a lot,
grasp each precious second
with both hands
life is there to be taken
take it
